Our Team

The Station View Garage team is professional and well-trained. Between them, the staff have many years experience as mechanics. You will receive a friendly welcome by people who will take the trouble to explain what needs to be done.

 Andrew Pirt is Dorking born and bred.
He started when he was 16 and trained with local firm F.W. Mays.
Andrew has 29 years experience and still lives locally

Greg Wheeler started work in 1988.
He trained at Guildford College and then at Station Garage with Andrew.
Greg lives locally.

Mark Hawker: Mark came to Station view garage in 2002 straight from school. He completed an apprentiship at Guildford College and has enrolled on the Bosch training programme. Mark is a keen fan of Arsenal football club, and also forms a key part of Capel FC who compete successfully in the West Sussex division 1, this with his commitments to a local pool league takes up most of his spare time Mark is a long standing member of the team and the responsibility of MOT tester reflects his importance.

Nick Finch: Nick joined in 2005 after completing a 2 year college course in engineering. He has completed a full apprentiship with station view garage along with specialist welding qualifications. He is now enjoying the benefits of the respected Bosch training programme. Nick is a self confessed petrol head” enjoying engine building his spare time along with his much admired voluntary youth work.

Adam Smith: Adam moved into the motor Industry having been a senior administrator in a large Insurance company. His decision to move into the motor industry was no doubt influenced by his love affair with classic Fords. Adam is working towards a welding qualification as well as completing an apprentiship at Guildford college. Evenings are spent playing 5-a-side football and displaying musical talents on the guitar Adams claim to fame is that he has been awarded a Blue Peter badge.

Ben Thompson: Ben made the switch from a VW main agent to Station view in 2008 he settled in well and is fast becoming a real team player he has good a grasp on mechanics and is looking forward to a career with us. Ben also competes in a local pool league.

Bob Furbear: Bob came to Station view after working locally in the motor trade and in customer services. Bob joined in 2007 having already gained his qualifications and a number of years experience. His duties include all types of mechanical repairs and servicing and has shown a level of ability in working on the light commercial side of the business. Bob has become an extremely loyal team member and his commitment to his work and the company are unquestionable

Paul Banks: Paul Joined Station View Garage Feb 08. Before then he worked for 15year at Vines BMW/MINI and gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the brand, before then He worked for the local Vauxhall Dealer. Paul started his working life as a Vehicle technician at Paladin Jaguar. In his spare time Paul likes to compose songs, but we are yet to hear his work, although I bet Simon Cowell would say slightly average. Paul Loves F1 and motorsport in general and had he pleasure in meeting Nigel Mansel and more recently Jay Kay from the band Jamiroquai.
